The Fool-Proof Guide to Clickable Blog Titles

You have been running a solid blog. You have embraced content marketing. But while you’re posting up a storm and creating killer content, you feel that something is missing… a reliable audience.

No matter how awesome the blog you’re running is, it doesn’t matter if people aren’t motivated to read it. You need your potential audience to click through to your page, but how?

While people are lectured not to judge a book by its cover, make no mistake—they sure are judging your blog post by its title. The title of your post is what drives readers to your blog and is the deciding factor of whether someone chooses to stay with you or abandons ship.

Do I Need to Worry About Google's Algorithm Changes?

Google updates its search algorithm more than 300 times a year, and each time it does, "SEO" companies (read: the competition) go scrambling.

"This changes everything!" They scream as they furiously and fervently try to figure out how to "beat the system" again.

This trend of "change and complain" happens more and more often as these agencies continue to try and game the system for instant results. If only they knew the one secret to dominating search results year in and year out, even when Google decides to change their algorithm.

The DSM Group: On its Way to Taking Over the World

Things sure are changing here at The DSM Group. In the past month, we’ve constructed new walls and offices, done some fresh painting and even added to the growing team of talent.

After spending the past nine months interning at The DSM Group I couldn’t be more excited to join the team full time as an Inbound Marketing Account Coordinator. One of the biggest takeaways I’ve experienced so far is how important the environment and people you work with are.

We recently donated a set of pet oxygen masks to the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps on behalf of Companion Animal Advocates (CAA). The masks come in three sizes for large, medium and small dogs/cats. These specially sized masks will enable firefighters or EMT’s to deliver oxygen to pets in need and in some cases save their lives.

A Summer Update from The DSM Group

I can’t believe it’s July already. I'm not just saying that either, time is really moving quickly here in 2013. I feel like I am going to blink and it’s going to be Halloween. The good thing about the summer months though is slowing down a bit with friends and family.

At The DSM Group, we just had our first annual pig roast (no joke, the crew and some friends and family demolished a 40 lb. pig last Friday…along with burgers, dogs and a slew of desserts). It was nice to be able to hang outside of the office with everyone and their families.

Advertising Agency vs. Marketing Agency

Whether you are a freshly established New Jersey business or a seasoned player within your industry, you may have realized that it’s time to up the ante and continuing building your audience. With all the different ways companies are getting their names out there, it is not an easy feat to figure out which path is the best for you and your needs.

When discussing hiring outside professionals, the terms “marketing agency” and “advertising agency” are mentioned most often. Okay, so they both exist and deal in some way with promotions and company growth… but what does that mean for you?
