Meet Remi "The RemdawgTrill" Claire: One of Our New Interns

Meet Remi "The RemdawgTrill" Claire: One of Our New InternsThey call me Trill (adapted from my Twitter handle @RemdawgTrill). My story is not much different than the plight of other kids growing up in Bergen County. Jason Diller plucked me up off the streets of LinkedIn and gave me a chance I probably did not deserve.

I am a rising sophomore at Bentley University, a small business school in Waltham, Massachusetts. I am a double major in Creative Industries and Managerial Economics with a concentration in Corporate Communication. Entering college, I fully intended on being a Finance major, but one gander at adjusted entries sent me running for the hills.

My initial summer plan had included Banana Republic blazers and Michael Kors pumps on Wall Street. I had set up a summer internship at a boutique investment banking firm in the heart of Manhattan. I quickly came to the realization I could in no way be a corporate stiff, and abandoned all dreams of becoming a female executive at a Fortune 500 company.

I had begun to research and apply for local internships at marketing and public relations firms in the Big Apple when the Vice President of Marketing at The DSM Group contacted me on LinkedIn. He gave me the chance to interview for a summer internship position. Admittedly, I made a fool of myself, but to my surprise The DSM Group gave the bizarre, fidgety girl with the questionable Twitter name a shot.

Being able to blog for The DSM Group has given me the exhilarating opportunity to let loose in cybersphere, as well as to write with a certain sass and outspokenness that would have warranted a slap on the wrist in any English course. In addition to the awesome fact that jeans are considered dressing up at the office, I have access to an unlimited amount of Smarties (who knew the Intern 15 was a thing).

When I am not making potentially controversial remarks on The DSM Group blog, I play defense for the Bentley Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Team. On the rare occasion I am not trolling the Bentley Athletic Center, you can probably find me in my dorm eating unhealthy amounts of Goldfish while crying over the latest drama in Gossip Girl.

I also use The DSM Group blog as a makeshift dating service, so if you would like to tell me about yourself below, I just may give you a ring.
