Katelyn is a former dancer for the William Paterson Dance Team, enjoys working out and is a huge hockey fan. Lets go Devils!

Super Bowl Copyright & Trademark Infringement; An Advertiser's Gameplan

It's that time of year again, so grab some chips and dip and a beer (or two) and head to the big screen (but not too big) for "The Big Game."

Be careful, using the word "Super Bowl" is prohibited, because the NFL has trademarked it and if they believe you have affiliated yourself with or otherwise sponsored or endorsed promotions using the Super Bowl trademark, you will most likely be found liable for trademark infringement.

Now I know what you're thinking, "Can a brand really not use the term Superbowl?" This creates a likelihood for consumer confusion within advertising and marketing companies, but as Marshawn Lynch knows, the NFL does not back down when it comes to breaking the rules, so proceed with caution when creating a SuperBowl-based campaign.

DSM President Among Recipients of NJBIZ's 'Forty Under 40' Award

Darren Magarro, President and founder of The DSM Group, was one of 40 recipients of NJBIZ's 2013 Forty Under 40 award, at an event held on Oct. 28.

The list celebrates 40 of New Jersey's most accomplished young businessmen and woman who have been making headlines in their field and share a strong commitment to growth, professional excellence and to their communities.

"Being nominated not only reflects my personal accomplishments but the accomplishments of The DSM Group and my entire team," said Darren, adding that he is truly honored and privileged to have been chosen with so many other talented individuals.
