Don't get me wrong though, I always find time to goof off whether it be playing pickup basketball with my friends, binge-watching Netflix TV-shows (who doesn't) or quoting movies. Some other facts about me are that I have a wonderful dog named Stella, I love my NY sports teams and home-cooked meals from my Italian mother.
I first learned about The DSM Group via searching "Advertising Firms Northern NJ" in a Google search at midnight after a long night of school work. After exploring DSM's awesome website, I knew that I had to apply and fortunately after an interview I was offered a spot to intern!
While I did have a couple other offers elsewhere, after studying the website and speaking with Jason and Nick, what caught my attention most was the opportunity to learn extensive marketing strategies and tactics that weren't being taught in school yet and would help me for years to come in my career. Overall, after learning more about the company culture, I knew that DSM would be a great company to work for over the next few months.
So far my first few days at DSM have been exactly what I expected: tons of learning in a fun and exciting environment. I have already learned more than I expected to in marketing practices, strategy and technology and unlike most interns my age, I'm not doing busy work: everything I've done here at DSM serves a legitimate purpose, something I am very proud of.
Other than that crazy guy named Diller (just kidding, he's cool), everyone here has been especially nice and welcoming. During these next few months, I look forward to writing for the agency as well as helping the staff with strategy and other facets of their marketing campaigns. I am also looking forward to getting to know all of the awesome people who work here (but more importantly hanging out with their cool dogs)!
