Valentine's Day calls for mushy couples making out in public while single people around the world eat chocolate and watch romantic comedies.
In the spirit of red hearts and roses, our marketing agency has put together a list of mobile apps just for couples. While you're feeding each other appetizers across the table, check out this list of apps that will take you closer to Jay-Z and Beyonce status.
Avocado is a well rounded app that offers private text and picture messaging as well as the ability to create lists to remember things like dates, vacations, and birthdays. This app also allows couples to archive those tender little moments and milestones in a relationship.
Avocado really isn't missing anything. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to navigate and use with your boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, or other partners. We highly recommend this app if you haven't checked it out already. Note: No avocados were harmed in the creation of this app!

This app allows you to stay obsessively close to your partner when you're not together. Like Avocado, this app allows you to text, picture, and video message. Couple kicks it up a notch by providing a "draw together" feature too.
Couple has all of the basic necessities for a functional couple app. Unfortunately, the GPS feature may make some commitment phoebes weary. The DSM Group couple app (currently still being tested, but hopefully coming soon to a smartphone near you) would make the GPS feature into a game. For example, if you can guess where your partner goes every Thursday night after work until 3AM, you get relationship points!

The goal of this app is to rekindle the fire in a long term relationship. You can rank "love signs" or what you want your partner to do for you such as things they probably haven't done for you in a while. This app turns relationship building into an interactive game!
Kahnoodle is quite different from all other couple apps out there. It is a fresh idea and a fun way to engage participation. Whether or not it actually rekindles the flame in your relationship, we're not sure. Unfortunately, this app doesn't have a lot of the bells and whistles like Avocado and Couple, but it does offer you a way to indirectly tell your partner what you want, which can be fun!

Don't let the suggestive name fool you, Feel Me is rated PG. This innovative app lets you connect with your partner via virtual touch.
We must admit, Feel Me is pretty cool. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for it to become fully available to the public. It would be nice if Feel Me incorporated more features though. Maybe The DSM Group couple app will include similar technology that allows you to play games like finger charades, (Can you guess what animal I'm drawing?) If you want to be one of the first to get the app when it releases, sign up for their email.
Stay engaged with one another by using IceBreak. Get to know your partner by asking each other questions when you're apart.
This may not appeal to those who have been together for eons and don't feel like finding out what their partners favorite Disney movie is. This app would benefit from more features. A quiz feature using the questions that your partner has already answered would add extra incentive to actually remember the answers to the questions. Just beware of the potential fights that may occur from bad quiz scores.

Keep track of all of the important details with Love Maps. This app allows you to organize all of the bits and pieces that mean a lot to you like your hopes, dreams, and major life events.
This app would benefit from a more well-rounded array of features. Although it keeps track of the "important stuff," it lacks the basic functions of the other great couple apps like Avocado and Couple. We would want Love Maps to have fun messaging features as well as the ability to remember the day your partner got a (long overdue) promotion at work.
Simply Us makes it easy for couples or even friends to stay on the same page. Let's give a round of applause for Simply Us for keeping things simple and not trying to bombard us with emojis, thumbkissing, and picture filters. Nicely done!

You've probably all heard of this one by now. If not, then get out from under the rock. Snap Chat lets you send pictures and videos that are only visible for a maximum of 10 seconds.
We are all shocked at how long the Snap Chat craze has lasted. Although it is not an app strictly for couples, it can be. We believe it was originally created for a different purpose, but we are not suggesting you use it that way (unless you want to, then knock yourself out!) Friends and couples still enjoy using Snap Chat and until they don't, we will include it on this list.
So there you have it. If you are looking to stay virtually connected to your partner in crime, these are the apps for you. Of course there are plenty of other apps to download, but this selection is the equivalent to the luxury cars in the lot of pre-owned clunkers. Have fun and Happy Valentine's Day!
