Marketing: For The Love Of The GameGiving back to the community is always a special focus in our office; everyone at DSM has their own philanthropic endeavors in areas that they are truly passionate about.

Our idea to turn The DSM Group’s Wristband Revolution photo contest into a charitable cause snowballed from the success of last year’s campaign. We got awesome feedback and saw overwhelming numbers in response to our social media efforts, so we figured why not make it an actual revolution? 

The Wristband Revolution is a creative way to get people to capture and share what they are doing to help others and hopefully spark a little friendly competition to raise money for more than one charity at a time.

I am really excited to begin working with Street 2 Street, not only because it is such a great cause, but also because of my love for (and experience with) sports. I grew up playing soccer, softball, basketball and cheerleading and it really has impacted my life in more than one way. I am an avid supporter of the idea that sports play such an important role in shaping a child’s life. To me, being able to support a charity that uses this as their mission is an honor. I learned so many things about self-confidence and self-expression, emotional and physical perseverance, and how to communicate with others through sports. I believe that taking part in any sport makes you a stronger person and also teaches you a lot about yourself.

This Saturday, I am going to my first Street 2 Street tournament and cannot wait to be a small part of such an important cause. We’ll take some pictures and let everyone know how it goes, so stay tuned ;)
